Snail's guide on how to get Mew

Now as you know (or should know), there are many glitches in the Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow games. This is a guide to help you abuse a glitch popular known as the Mew glitch (a quick version of it). Happy reading, and good luck. I hope you find this guide useful, and that you are able to get a Mew! With this trick, the earliest you can get Mew is Cerulean City.

Now, firstly, you will need:


An Abra that knows Teleport
You must have not fought the Youngster on Route 25 (he has a level 17 Slowpoke)
You must have not fought the person to the left of Nugget Bridge, the trainer in the grass
You must have battled all other trainers on Route 25 and Nugget Bridge
The last pokemon center you visited must be Cerulean City pokecenter



Now...

Step 1: Walk a couple of steps in front of the trainer in the grass. Press Start quickly before you battle him. Reset the game if you aren't successful.

Step 2: Go to Pokémon and select Abra. and make it use Teleport. You will appear in front of Cerulean City Pokecenter

Step 3: Your start button should not be working when you land. Go to the trainer with the lv 17 Slowpoke and defeat him. Your start button should now work again.

Step 4: Teleport back to Cerulean City.

Step 5: Go to Nugget Bridge. The first step you take onto Nugget Bridge should bring up the menu. Press B and...

Step 6: A WILD MEW APPEARED! Like magic! Wild Mew, level 7, knows Pound. Of course, bring your good pokemon that can catch Mew. And of course, lots of pokeballs.

This does NOT work in FireRed/LeafGreen.

i have one on diamond, you need my pokemon ranch game and have 999 of your own pokemon in there, and then you can trade an egg for a mew.

btw it looks weird because html screwed up...

i got a wii, but how do you get pokemon ranch on it?

You need to get a Wii Points Card first (they're like $20 or something, you can get them from most gaming shops, just ask at the front counter).
Get one that has 1000 points or more.

Go to the wii shop channel, redeem the points from the card (you must scratch off this silver part on the card, out comes a code, put the code in the wii, success).

You will have those points. Go to WiiWare section of Wii shop channel. search for "my pokemon ranch". download it, it'll take like 5 minutes.

When it is done, you can start it up, you can put pokemon in it, etc.

i know an easy way to get mew, just get 999 bidoofs lol and put em on there

I refuse to put Bidoofs in there. Instead, I stuffed it full of Unown and Eggs. Worked for me
